The Patriots apparently saw something they liked in Atlanta last week, other than their performance against the Falcons: an NFL source confirms New England has acquired reserve offensive lineman Quinn Ojinnaka from Atlanta for an undisclosed draft choice.
Ojinnaka, 6 feet 5 inches, 299 pounds, is a fifth-year lineman who primarily plays guard. In the Falcons’ most recent depth chart he was listed as the backup to left guard Justin Blalock.
A fifth-round pick out of Syracuse in 2006, Ojinnaka, 26, has played in 39 games with 12 starts.
The news of the trade was first reported by Adam Caplan of FoxSports.com.
