FOXBOROUGH — Any issues off of the field facing the newest member of the Patriots offensive line, were taken into consideration before he arrived, Bill Belichick said today.
Offensive lineman Quinn Ojinnaka was acquired via trade with the Atlanta Falcons and arrived in Foxborough yesterday. Ojinnaka is facing a one-game suspension by the NFL due to violating the league’s personal conduct policy after he was arrested for a domestic violence incident.
“Every player” undergoes a complete evaluation before any moves are made, Belichick said.
Overall, Belichick said Ojinnaka can provide the Patriots with depth.
“Quinn’s got some versatility. He’s played tackle. He’s played guard. He’s started a number of games in this league. … So he’s got some position flexibility, got some experience in the league and we felt like he would fit in our system.”
