Brady battling foot sprain, expected to play Sunday

FOXBOROUGH — Patriots quarterback Tom Brady missed practice today because of a foot sprain, but the injury is not considered serious enough to keep him out of the game on Sunday, according to a league source.

Brady did not practice today for the first time this season because of the foot injury.

Brady’s time on injured reserve in 2008 with a knee injury was the only time he has missed a game since he earned the starting job in 2001.
