The Patriots will be wearing throwback uniforms on Sunday in their game vs. the Jets.
The uniforms will replicate those worn by the 1985 team, and feature red jerseys, white pants and helmets with the “Pat Patriot” logo. The 1985 Patriots went 11-5 and won the AFC Championship, but lost to the Bears in Super Bowl XX, 46-10.
Globe reporter Shalise Manza Young snapped the photo at right of the helmets in the Patriots’ locker room today.
According to a Patriots pregame information release, the Patriots are 7-3 in games they’ve worn throwback uniforms. They wore them twice last season and won both games — vs. Minnesota Oct. 31 and at Detroit on Thanksgiving.
