FOXBOROUGH — The last time WR Taylor Price played a game was during the preseason on Aug. 27 against the Detroit Lions.
There was plenty of excitement around Price after he opened the preseason with five catches for 105 yards and one touchdown against the Jacksonville Jaguars. But nagging injuries have kept Price sidelined.
Last week, he was active against the Oakland Raiders for the first time this season but did not play.
“It felt good to finally get out there in a meaningful type game get out there, get the warm up in and see how my hamstring felt,” Price said. “And I was able to be out there and root the team on and now I’m ready to get out there and contribute and get on the field and play.”
Price said he is nearly 100 percent after sitting out with a hamstring injury. Hemay have even more value for the Patriots this week if WR/returner Julian Edelman is unable to play due to an ankle injury.
If Edelman is out, Price is a likely candidate to fill in on returns.
Wherever the Patriots need him, Price said he is ready to go.
“I feel good,” Price said. “I feel almost 100 percent. I’ve had a good week of practice and a good week of preparation and I look forward to being able to get out there on Sunday and getting at it.”
