Patriots’ inside linebacker Brandon Spikes has a sprained MCL and is “week to week”, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Spikes left the game in the third quarter yesterday after appearing to collide with teammate Kyle Arrington; on the sideline, team trainers evaluated his right knee.
This afternoon, Bill Belichick said that Spikes was undergoing tests and “we’ll see what it looks like tomorrow. Sometimes those things clear up and they’re bruises; sometimes they’re more than that and it takes a little bit longer.”
Spikes is the third Patriots player this season to suffer an MCL injury – Aaron Hernandez and Jerod Mayo each missed two games because of their respective injuries.
