The Patriots have announced that practice squad C/G Nick McDonald has been promoted to the 53-man roster.
To make room for Mc Donald, the team released underachieving WR Taylor Price.
Price played in just three games this season as he dealt with a hamstring injury and also never seemed to gain Tom Brady’s trust. He was a day of game inactive for 15 of 16 games as a rookie. He does have practice-squad eligibility, but as a third-round draft pick just a year ago, he may be claimed off waivers.
As for McDonald, who was signed as a undrafted rookie by the Packers last season and made the 53-man roster out of training camp but a day-of-game inactive the entire season. He was cut by the Packers during final cutdown day on Sept. 3 and signed by the Pats a day later.
Dan Connolly, who had been starting at center, missed last week’s game with a groin injury; his replacement, Ryan Wendell, suffered a calf injury against Philadelphia. Both a listed as questionable for tomorrow.
