Tom Brady named AFC player of week

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was named AFC offensive player of the week by the NFL following his 340-yard, four-touchdown performance in a 52-28 rout of the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.

Brady threw three touchdown passes and ran for another.

It is Brady’s 21st player of the week award, which ties him with Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning for most such awards since it started in 1984.
