Patriots work out two quarterbacks

The Patriots worked out six players, including two quarterbacks and two interior offensive linemen.

Quarterbacks Cley Belton and Nathan Stanley tried out for the team, possibly auditioning for a spot on the team’s practice squad. But their tryouts also could spell the end for popular third-string quarterback Tim Tebow, who has struggled this preseason.

The team also worked out OG Chandler Burden, WR Jerrell Jackson, RB Robbie Rouse, and OG Desmond Wynn.

Cornerback Ras-I Dowling, whom the team cut Wednesday, cleared waivers and is a free agent.
