EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski will officially make his return to the field on Sunday against the New York Jets.
The team announced that Gronkowski, who has been rehabbing the past nine months from back and forearm surgeries, as active for the game.
The team also announced that wide receiver and special teams ace Matthew Slater will be active for Sunday’s game. He has missed the past four games after breaking his wrist.
WR Josh Boyce, OL Chris Barker, CB Aqib Talib (hip), WR Danny Amendola (concussion/groin), RB Leon Washington (ankle), DL Tommy Kelly (knee), and DB Tavon Wilson are all inactive.
