Thursday roll call: No Dennard, Cannon, Dobson

FOXBOROUGH – As expected, three Patriots – cornerback Alfonzo Dennard, receiver Aaron Dobson, and offensive lineman Marcus Cannon – were missing from Thursday’s practice, held under threatening skies on the lower grass field behind Gillette Stadium.

Linebacker Brandon Spikes was back at practice. He missed Wednesday’s workout for what the team said was a non-injury-related reason.
Receiver Austin Collie, who re-signed with the team on Thursday, was wearing No. 10 (same as the first time this season) and moving well. Collie suffered a knee injury in the Nov. 3 game against Pittsburgh, and was released two days later.
Dennard’s absence was expected because he has two court appearances scheduled in Nebraska. The first is Thursday, the second on Friday. Dobson (foot) and Cannon (ankle) missed Sunday’s game, and also Wednesday’s practice, with injuries.
