Tom Brady will keep his top target Julian Edelman, according to multiple reports.
Edelman came to an agreement to return to the Patriots Saturday after testing the free agent market. He received interest from the San Francisco 49ers, Cleveland Browns, and Baltimore Ravens.
But ultimately Edelman, a fifth-year NFL veteran and converted quarterback, decided to come back to New England. He caught 105 passes last season for 1,056 yards and six touchdowns. It was his most prolific season since he had been drafted by the team in the seventh round in 2009.
Edelman tweeted this Saturday afternoon:
Foxboro is home. Excited to be back. #grind
