The Broncos had no update Monday after confirming after Sunday night’s 27-17 victory over the Chiefs that wide receiver Wes Welker had suffered a concussion during the fourth quarter, according to the Denver Post.
According to ESPN, Welker is undergoing concussion evaluation and will not be a full participant in practice until Friday at the earliest. Broncos interim coach Jack Del Rio said Welker would undergo baseline concussion testing Monday.
“First concern obviously is that he’s ready to return when doctors give him the green light,” Del Rio said to ESPN. “When he’s able to go, he’ll go.”
