If you had taken the under in any of the three games affected by snow on Sunday, you may have decided by halftime to head out and spend your anticipated winnings on some holiday shopping.
In Philadelphia, the Eagles trailed the Lions, 8-0, at halftime. The snowfall seemed blinding. In Baltimore, the Ravens led the Vikings, 7-3, at the break. And in Pittsburgh, Miami held a 10-7 advantage. An under play in any of these games could be rationalized with sound logic: play-calling would be conservative and passing games would be limited because of poor conditions.
Of course, we’re talking about gambling, and any confidence you may have is typically shortlived. A perfect example would be these three games: all the overs came in.
