INDIANAPOLIS — When Adam Vinatieri comes to Foxborough with the Colts Saturday, it will be his first New England playoff experience from the opposing sideline.
In a lot ways, he knows what to expect.
It’s been eight years since Vinatieri put one through the uprights for the Patriots.
But in the four trips he’s made to Gillette Stadium since he left for Indianapolis, the crowd has been relatively consistent.
“I think it’s always the same,” Vinatieri said. “I think they’re fanatical fans, like we have.”
He knows the memory of two Super Bowl-winning kicks will only last so long with Patriots fans once the game starts.
