NFL games on TV

GREEN BAY (8-6) vs. MINNESOTA (8-6)
* When, where:
Today, 3 p.m., at Minneapolis

* TV: Ch. 25.

* Last meeting: Packers won, 34-31, Nov. 14.

* Comments: This game will determine the NFC North title. Green Bay, which started the season 1-4, has clinched a playoff spot; Minnesota can seal its first playoff berth since 2000 with a win . . . Daunte Culpepper and Brett Favre each threw four touchdown passes in the teams' last matchup. In that game, Culpepper was without his top target, wide receiver Randy Moss (strained hamstring), but he will be in action today. In 12 career games against Green Bay, Moss has 64 catches for 1,213 yards and 11 touchdowns.

OAKLAND (5-9) vs. KANSAS CITY (6-8)

* When, where: Tomorrow, 5 p.m., at Kansas City, Mo.

* TV, radio: Ch. 4, WEEI (850).

* Last meeting: Chiefs won, 34-27, Dec. 5.

* Comments: Both offenses come into this game on a roll. Kansas City's Trent Green completed 16 of 19 passes for 224 yards and three touchdowns last Sunday in a 45-17 win over Denver, and Larry Johnson rushed for 151 yards and two TDs. Oakland is coming off a 40-35 win over Tennessee in which Kerry Collins threw for 371 yards and five touchdowns . . . Raiders cornerback Charles Woodson, who sat out last week with a sprained knee and is listed as doubtful, was arrested Monday for public intoxication . . . Kansas City holds the edge in this rivalry, 46-43-2.

DENVER (8-6) vs. TENNESSEE (4-10)

* When, where: Tomorrow, 8:30 p.m., at Nashville.

* TV, radio: ESPN, WEEI (850).

* Last meeting: Titans won, 42-33, Nov. 26, 1995.

* Comments: The Broncos have lost three of their last four games and are tied with Baltimore, Jacksonville, and Buffalo for the AFC's final wild-card spot . . . Denver's Jake Plummer has thrown one touchdown pass and eight interceptions in the last three games . . . Tennessee will start Billy Volek at quarterback for the third straight game. Volek, playing for the injured Steve McNair, has completed 69 of 103 passes for 918 yards and eight touchdowns the last two weeks.

NY GIANTS (5-9) vs. CINCINNATI (6-8)

* When, where: Sunday, 1 p.m., at Cincinnati.

* TV: Ch. 25.

* Last meeting: Giants won, 29-27, Oct. 26, 1997.

* Comments: The Giants' Eli Manning, the No. 1 overall pick in this year's draft, and the Bengals' Carson Palmer, last year's top selection, lead the offenses. Palmer, who sat out last week with a knee injury, is expected to play . . . Manning had his best pro game in a 33-30 loss to Pittsburgh last Saturday, throwing for 182 yards and a pair of touchdowns against the league's top-rated defense . . . The Giants have lost all five of Manning's starts . . . Bengals wide receiver Chad Johnson has 82 catches, second in the NFL. His 1,161 yards are second in the AFC.

CAROLINA (6-8) vs. TAMPA BAY (5-9)
* When, where:
Sunday, 4 p.m., at Tampa.

* TV: Ch. 25.

* Last meeting: Panthers won, 21-14, Nov. 28.

* Comments: Carolina's late charge at the postseason hit a snag. A five-game winning streak after a 1-7 start put it in playoff contention, but the Panthers lost in overtime to the Falcons last Saturday and will need help to get the NFC's final wild-card slot . . . While not eliminated from the postseason picture, the Buccaneers' chances took a hit with losses the past two weeks . . . Tampa Bay defensive end Simeon Rice recorded 3 1/2 sacks in a 21-17 loss to New Orleans last Sunday.

CLEVELAND (3-11) vs. MIAMI (3-11)
* When, where:
Sunday, 8:30 p.m., at Miami.

* TV, radio: ESPN, WEEI (850).

* Last meeting: Dolphins won, 24-14, Oct. 10, 1993.

* Comments: Draft position may be the most important aspect of this game. Both teams are led by interim coaches, with Jim Bates filling in after the resignation of Miami coach Dave Wannstedt and Terry Robiskie taking over for Butch Davis. Robiskie is 0-3, Bates is 2-3 . . . Cleveland is 0-6 on the road this year . . . The Browns' Luke McCown has started three games in place of Jeff Garcia and completed 48.1 percent of his passes (39 of 81) while throwing for 447 yards and 3 touchdowns, with 5 interceptions.
