NEW YORK—Boston isn't the only city making plans to hold a Super Bowl victory parade on Super Tuesday.
The New York City police commissioner says the city is planning for a post-Super Bowl parade on Tuesday if the Giants beat the New England Patriots. New York, Massachusetts and 20 other states are also holding presidential primaries that day.
New York police commissioner Raymond Kelly says the parade would start at 11 a.m. near Battery Park, followed by a City Hall Plaza ceremony at 1 p.m.
Mayor Michael Bloomberg refused to talk about parade plans, saying he didn't want to jinx the Giants.
Boston Mayor Tom Menino said earlier this week that Boston must hold the parade on Super Tuesday if the Patriots win.
He said that's because so many Patriots are headed to Hawaii on Wednesday for the Pro Bowl.
