MINNEAPOLIS—Former Minnesota Vikings defensive lineman Darrion Scott has been arrested after police searched his Eden Prairie residence.

Police say Scott was booked into the Hennepin County jail Wednesday on suspicion of assault and malicious punishment of a child.

The 26-year-old Scott is a free agent after spending the past four seasons with the Vikings. Last season, he was placed on injured reserve after four games with a broken foot.

Scott's agent, Tim DiPiero, said he was trying to find out details about the arrest.
