Browns' Winslow needs an MRI on shoulder

The news wasn't all good for the Cleveland Browns in the wake of their 29-27 win Monday night over the Buffalo Bills.

The visiting Browns improved to 4-6 when Phil Dawson's career-long 56-yard field goal with 1:39 remaining gave them the victory, but tight end Kellen Winslow injured his right shoulder in the closing minutes and will have an MRI.

Winslow was hurt when he was tackled in front of Buffalo's bench while making a 16-yard reception that set up Dawson's winning field goal. The five-year veteran, who has had numerous injuries during his career, was driven to the ground by Bills linebacker Paul Posluszny. Winslow briefly left the field but returned and was the intended receiver on an incompletion by quarterback Brady Quinn before Dawson's 56-yarder.

The Bills (5-5) have lost four straight and five of six to go from first to worst in the AFC East. They had a chance to win, but kicker Rian Lindell missed a 47-yard field goal to the right in the final minute, a familiar sight for Buffalo fans forever scarred by Scott Norwood's notorious 1991 Super Bowl miss.

In the latest meltdown for Buffalo quarterback Trent Edwards, he threw three interceptions on his first six attempts, digging the Bills too deep a hole.

"You start seeing things that you're not really seeing, and you're doing things that you're not normally used to doing," Edwards said.
