NEW ORLEANS - This weekend is like so many were during Laura Darling’s childhood. Yesterday she was surrounded by family and friends, there were black-and-gold beads and boas strewn about the room, and there was a sense of anticipation so thick you could chop it up and hand a piece to everyone in sight.
