Russell Okung signed a six-year contract worth a potential $58 million with the Seahawks yesterday — then went right onto the field in full pads for his first practice since he was preparing for Oklahoma State’s Cotton Bowl appearance seven months ago.

Okung, the No. 6 overall pick in the draft, was working at left tackle with the second unit.

A person with knowledge of the deal said the contract is worth more than $29 million guaranteed and a maximum value of $58 million.

Spiller joins Bills
Rookie first-round draft pick C.J. Spiller signed a five-year contract with the Bills, the running back finally arriving at training camp a little over a week after it opened.

A person familiar with the contract said the deal includes just less than $21 million in guaranteed money and is potentially worth $37 million if Spiller, the ninth pick overall, meets all incentives.

Cowboys’ Spears injured
Cowboys defensive end Marcus Spears will miss the rest of training camp and possibly the start of the regular season with a sprained left knee.

Spears is expected to be out 4-6 weeks after getting hurt late in Thursday’s practice. Since the slight ligament tear won’t require surgery, there is a chance Spears could be back for the Sept. 12 season opener at Washington. Spears hasn’t missed a game in his five NFL seasons.

Ryan authors guarantee
Rex Ryan’s Super Bowl guarantee is now in writing. The Jets coach was asked to sign his team’s logo sticker on the back of ESPN’s tour bus at training camp Thursday. Instead of just signing his name, the brash Ryan wrote: “Soon to be Champs.’’

“I’ve got confidence to put it up there,’’ Ryan said. “I believe we’ll do it, so why wouldn’t we say it?’’

Giant pains
The injuries are starting to mount on the Giants’ offensive line. Starting left guard Rich Seubert is going to be sidelined indefinitely with a broken left hand, coach Tom Coughlin said. The Giants will find out how long Seubert will be out when he is examined today. Seubert is the second offensive lineman to go down, joining two-time Pro Bowl center Shaun O’Hara, sidelined since Monday with swelling in his left ankle. And Steve Smith, who led the team with 107 receptions last season, said he injured his groin making a routine move early in practice . . . The injury-ravaged Broncos suffered yet another blow when outside linebacker Jarvis Moss broke a bone in his right hand during the morning workout. Moss will need surgery to fix the break and will likely miss two weeks of practice . . . Falcons receiver Michael Jenkins appeared to injure his shoulder during a team scrimmage. “I don’t know the extent of it, but I think we’ll know first thing in the morning,’’ coach Mike Smith said . . . The Packers extended receiver Donald Driver’s contract through the 2012 season . . . For the fourth straight day, Redskins defensive lineman Albert Haynesworth (sore knee) did not take the conditioning test and did not practice.
