Most likely to be blamed for poor team chemistry
All Julian Edelman wants to do is contribute. But if that means he’s taking snaps from Wes Welker, as he did at the beginning of the season, he’s going to be causing all kinds of ruckus. Edelman had a great training camp, and earned more playing time at wide receiver than ever before. But giving him preference over Welker led to what appeared to be a diminished overall offensive output. It didn’t help that when Edelman was injured, the offense saw an uptick with Welker mostly often targeted. In the end, this whole blip will be looked upon as a foolish endeavor by the coaching staff. And that’s unfair to Edelman.
