    Baltimore Ravens' head coach John Harbaugh received a championship hat after briefly speaking with Bill Belichick. The Ravens will face Harbaugh's brother, Jim Harbaugh, the coach of the San Francisco 49ers, in the New Orleans.

    Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco celebrated his team's 28-13 victory over the Patriots to claim the AFC Championship title. Super Bowl XLVII will be Flacco's first Super Bowl appearance and the first time the Ravens have gone to the Super Bowl since 2001.

    Baltimore Ravens fans showed their pride in purple and black as their team advanced to the Super Bowl.

    Despite having a cast on his right hand, Ravens linebacker Dannell Ellerbe was able to cradle the ball for an interception thrown by Brady in the fourth quarter.

    Tom Brady watched as a pass he threw was ruled incomplete. At the two-minute warning, the Patriots were down by 15.

    New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick remained solemn as the Baltimore Ravens lengthened their lead in the fourth quarter. If the Patriots won, it would be Belichick's sixth Super Bowl appearance with the Patriots.

    Stevan Ridley had a crucial fumble that was recovered by the Ravens for the first turnover of the game. The play was reviewed after Ridley went down hard on his right leg, but the turnover was confirmed mintues later. Ridley suffered a head injury from the collision.

    Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Anquan Boldin caught a 3-yard touchdown pass despite the coverage of Patriots' free safety Devin McCourty, to bring the Ravens up 21-13.

    Ravens' tight end Dennis Pitta caught a 5-yard TD pass from QB Joe Flacco to put the Ravens ahead 14-13.

    Despite his 139 yards passing for the first half, Brady was unable to secure a touchdown in the Patriots' last possession before halftime. With four seconds left to play in the half, Stephen Gostkowski kicked a good 25-yard field goal, giving the Patriots a six-point lead over the Ravens.

    Tom Brady was unable to throw for a touchdown under pressure but kicker Stephen Gostkowski made a 31-yard field goal to bring the Patriots ahead 3-0 in the first quater.

    Patriots' quarterback Tom Brady took to the field for the AFC game, rallying his team. If the Patriots won the game, it would be Brady's sixth trip to the Super Bowl.

    The Patriots entered the field of Gillette Stadium in style as fireworks shot up around them and their cheerleaders danced on either side.

    Patriots fans started early in the parking lot of Gillette Stadium, firing up their grills and getting excited during the hours leading up to kickoff.

    A Ray Lewis Baltimore Ravens jersey was hung on a post in a parking lot on Route 1 South. Ray Lewis will retire after this season and Patriots fans hoped his career would come to an end in Foxborough.
