More than 100 people had lined up outside the Patriots’ Pro Shop in Foxborough early Saturday morning to exchange Aaron Hernandez jerseys for a different player’s jersey.
The Patriots held the first of two exchange days because the former Patriots tight end has been accused of murder and was cut from the team following his arrest June 26.
“I honestly thought that they would do the right thing,” Arnie Larson said. “[Owner] Bob Kraft and his family have done nothing but do the right thing. It’s a crapshoot when you draft players. I know that, because you really don’t know who people are once they leave and what they do, but it seems like even when mistakes are made they do the right thing to correct those mistakes.” Full story for BostonGlobe.com subscribers.
