Danny Amendola’s health continues to be something of a question mark.
The Patriots receiver missed Thursday night’s game against the Jets because of a groin injury, which he aggravated in the Week 1 win in Buffalo.
Sunday, Fox Sports reported that Amendola has a strained groin. But the bigger problem is whether Amendola has a torn muscle in the groin area; Fox Sports said he has gotten conflicting reports and was seeking further opinions Sunday.
Such a tear is difficult to diagnose because it does not cause a visible bulge under the skin, but if Amendola does have one, he would require surgery that would keep him out for about a month. Full story for BostonGlobe.com subscribers.
