First down and second down were not the issue for the Patriots’ defense in Sunday’s 22-21 loss at Miami. In fact, defensive coordinator Dean Pees said his defense earned season-high marks for their efforts on those downs. Third down, however, was an entirely different matter. (Full article: 652 words)
