Ward, Farrior inactive for Steelers vs. Patriots

PITTSBURGH—Wide receiver Hines Ward and linebacker James Farrior are among the inactives for the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday against New England.

Ward was unable to practice this week due to an ankle injury. He'll be replaced by Emmanuel Sanders. Ward hadn't missed a game since 2007.

Farrior was limited this week with a calf injury. He'll be replaced by Stevenson Sylvester.

Linebackers James Harrison and Jason Worilds, nose tackle Chris Hoke, guard Doug Legursky and quarterback Dennis Dixon are also inactive for the Steelers.

Wide receiver Julian Edelman, linebackers Jermaine Cunningham and Dane Fletcher, safety Josh Barrett, quarterback Ryan Mallett, running back Shane Vereen and offensive lineman Donald Thomas are inactive for the Patriots.
