Robert Kraft on cover of Sports Illustrated
Patriots chairman Robert Kraft is on this week's cover of Sports Illustrated as his team plays in its fifth Super Bowl since the 2001 season. After the passing of Myra Kraft last year, this Super Bowl has been very much about the Patriots owner, who is also credited with having a big hand in the end of the lockout.
Kraft bought the Patriots in 1994 and turned around what at that time was one of the NFL's least valuable franchises. Under Kraft, the Patriots have made the playoffs 12 times in 17 seasons and have won three Super Bowls.
Tom Brady was on the cover of last week's issue, so anyone worried about a cover-jinx should be doubly concerned.
