FOXBOROUGH -- The NFL announced today that Patriots players Logan Mankins, Brandon Meriweather and Ty Warren were all fined for penalties they drew last Sunday in the Patriots' 20-17 overtime loss to the Denver Broncos.

Meriweather was fined $7,500 for unnecessarily taunting an opponent. Meriweather was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct after he was ruled to have taunted Broncos receiver Eddie Royal following a fourth-quarter incompletion. Denver tied the game on an 11-yard touchdown pass to Brandon Marshall on the next play.

Mankins was fined $5,000 for unnecessary roughness (unnecessarily striking an opponent late). Mankins drew the flag for slamming into the back of Broncos linebacker Wesley Woodyard on a 3-yard run by Kevin Faulk in the second quarter.

Warren was fined $5,000 for roughing the passer (unnecessarily striking the quarterback late). He was flagged in the second quarter as well.

Warren is the third Patriots player this year to be fined for roughing the passer, joining Adalius Thomas (season-opener against Buffalo) and Mike Wright (Baltimore).

Both Thomas and Wright also received $5,000 fines.
