Locker room recap: Koppen, Morris appear

Posted by Albert Breer November 9, 2009 03:49 PM

Quiet, as always, on a Monday in the Patriots locker room. Here's what we could gather ...

* Patriots RB Sammy Morris and C Dan Koppen both walked through the locker room, without any discernible limps. Both have knee injuries. Koppen left Sunday's game midway through the second quarter and didn't return. Morris has been out since suffering an MCL injury in the Tennessee game.

* Leigh Bodden went 0-16 with the Lions last year, so you know he's raring to play in the kind of game every installment of this rivalry has become. "Definitely, to compete, we're going Sunday night, in front of everybody, everybody's watching," he said. "I definitely appreciate it. I've been on some not-so-good teams, and to be able to come here and compete at high level against team like this, and it matters, it's definitely great."

* For what it's worth: OG Kendall Simmons, released last week, still has a place here. His locker remains intact, five days after his ouster.
