Morning updates

Posted by Adam Kilgore, Globe Staff November 8, 2009 09:31 AM

Welcome to Gillette Stadium, where it is absolutely gorgeous. If there is tailgaiting in heaven, the parking lots there are basked in this weather (and there's plenty of Geary's and Blanton's to go around).

There are a few transactions to keep up with. The Patriots added cornerback Kyle Arrington to the 53-man roster, taking the spot vacated when they released offensive lineman Kendall Simmons this week. Arrington had been on the Patriots practice squad.

Also, the Dolphins last night downgraded linebacker Channing Crowder and defensive tackle Jason Ferguson to out. Reggie Torbor, who led the Dolphins in tackles last week when Crowder was out, will replace him. Ferguson, a protoypical 3-4 nose guard, will be replaced by Paul Soliai, who has never started in his three-year career.
