Not everyone hates Joey Porter

Dolphins linebacker Joey Porter said earlier this week that he thinks the Patriots don't like him, but he might not be 100 percent correct.

“I love that 55 guy," Patriots linebacker Junior Seau said. "I do. He’s a great athlete, a great player, and a good friend. I love what he does out there.”

Seau never played with Porter during his three seasons with the Dolphins, but he knows him from various meetings over the years. He feels Porter's edge rushing ability is admirable, and he doens't mind Porter's constant chatter.

“Everyone has their own identity," Seau said. "That’s Joey Porter, and it’s real. And that’s what you got to respect. If a guy would just do that sparingly, when the sun’s out, you look at the guy, kind of crack up, and laugh at him. Joey is who he is. And that’s why I respect the guy so much.”

Between Porter and the New York Jets, the AFC East has become one of the most talkative divisions in the league.

“You could call it the whole division, but leave us out of that," Seau said. "We’re not going to join that crew.”

So the Pats aren't talking. But are they upset with Porter's words?

“Not that many players in this locker room can read," Seau said. "So it’s not bothering us. It really isn’t.”
