Big day for Moss?

If Randy Moss wants to quiet the army of critics he faced this week, he may have the perfect opponent and ideal conditions.
Since he arrived with the Patriots in 2007, Moss has tormented the Bills like no other opponent. His average game against the Bills: 6.6 catches, 90 yards, 1.2 touchdowns. And that includes last year’s Wind Game, when Matt Cassel targeted Moss twice and completed one of those throws.
Aside from that unique game, Moss has crushed the Bills. In November 2007, Moss caught four touchdowns in one half and gained 115 yards against the Bills in what might have been the best performance of his remarkable career. In Week 1 this year, he caught 12 passes for 141 yards.
The circumstances may prod the Patriots to throw often. The weather is uncommonly calm for Buffalo this time of year, and the Patriots crepe-thin defensive line may lead to a lot of Bills points – and force the Patriots to pass all game long.
Moss just finished leading the Patriots in their stretching lines, in front of the team with fellow captains Tom Brady and Sam Aiken and chatting with linebacker Pierre Woods. In the Patriots locker room, players, coaches, and even the owner maintained Moss remains a prominent leadership figure.
Last week, Moss had one of the worst games of his Patriots tenure. This week, he may have a perfect opportunity to redeem himself.
