On Sunday, Ron Brace joked that he had made his first career 1/2 sack, but "hopefully not my first fine." Well, unfortunately for Brace, that was a Christmas card the NFL sent him in an envelope this week.
The league fined Brace $5,000 for his facemask on Bills quarterback Trent Edwards on Sunday. Brace came to finish off a sack by Gary Guyton and grabbed and Edwards's facemask.
In the game, Brace, a rookie defensive tackle, started and received his first extended playing time in the absence of Vince Wilfork and Ty Warren.
