By Adam Kilgore
FOXBOROUGH -- A quick glance at his statistics suggests Derrick Burgess is gaining comfort with the Patriots. Burgess had six tackles against the Bills, his season high, while recording a sack for the second straight game.

When Burgess arrived, he played an entirely different role in the Patriots’ 3-4 than he had in Oakland. He did not feel he played well at first.

"Not really," Burgess said. "I tried to do whatever the asked of me or needed from me at the time. I’ve enjoyed it, because we’ve been winning. I had a rough spell, but it’s been getting better. I feel alright, but I’m still adjusting on the fly."
