OK, so earlier today we finally got someone (anyone!!!) to defend Randy Moss' hustle (or lack thereof) on Sunday against the Panthers. ESPN's esteemed analyst, Merril Hoge, did the honors.
And on a conference call, Perry Fewell was given the chance to make it two. So he was asked: What did you make on Randy's effort on Sunday?
"I’m not gonna comment on that," Fewell responded. "I think Randy Moss is one of the most prolific receivers in this league, and he can go whenever he wants to go. Sometimes you have good games and sometimes you have bad games."
That, really, is where most people stand on this. Defending the player in general terms, just not his work against Carolina.
