As expected, Jake Grove (ankle) will miss today's game against the Patriots. And I'd have thought this was a bigger deal, if I didn't see what I saw the last time this two teams met -- Which was Vince Wilfork playing over Jake Long as a 5-technique end.

Backup Joe Berger, one of this regime's Dallas transplants, will take Grove's place. So you have to think Wilfork will be taking on Long, unless they think Jarvis Green (who missed the first Miami game) can deal with the behemoth, which give the Patriots a decided edge inside with No. 75 on Berger.

Losing Grove, who was signed to deal with nose tackles like Wilfork and Kris Jenkins, this week, in particular, has got to be a disappointment for the Dolphins. Here's the rest of the list ...

3QB Tyler Thigpen
RB Kory Sheets
OT Andrew Gardner
C Jake Grove
DE Lionel Dotson
OT Lydon Murtha
DE Ikaika Alama-Francis
WR Patrick Turner
