Keep an eye on No. 27 for Jacksonville today.

Far and away the Jags' best defensive back, it'll be interesting to see how the Jaguars employ Rashean Mathis today.

One stat that jumps out here -- The Jaguars are one of two teams to go the entire season without a pass interference penalty. The other? The Jets, which probably could tell you a little more about the excellence of Darrelle Revis (who's got a fascinating matchup with Reggie Wayne today), who's manned up more than any other corner in the league, with the possible exception of Oakland's Nnamdi Asomugha.

Anyway, Mathis's absence over a five-game period (he returned for the Indy game) really hurt the Jags' pass defense. The pass rush still stinks, so the Patriots will probably move the ball regardless. But where Mathis lines up will make a difference as to where it goes.
