FOXBOROUGH -- Patriots running back Laurence Maroney is part of an impressive class of running backs who were drafted in 2006, but Jacksonville's Maurice Jones-Drew may lead the pack.

Jones-Drew is third in the league with 1,246 yards this season and is tied for the league lead for rushing touchdowns with 15. Maroney has a career-high nine rushing touchdowns and has collected 735 yards on 189 carries.

The two are part of a class that includes Joseph Addai, DeAngelo Williams, LenDale White and Reggie Bush among others.

"[Jones-Drew] is definitely up there with everybody," Maroney said. "We all are trying to get up on his level. He's definitely having an excellent year. As I think about it, everybody in our class is having a great year right now. It could always be better but they're definitely doing their thing right now, so I'm just trying to keep up with the competition."
