Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from Extra Points. The Patriots are working today -- as Wes Welker noted this week, football players haven't really had Christmas since their high school days. But we hope all of you enjoy some time off and have a wonderful day with family. And maybe watch some football.

If you gather around the TV tonight for the Chargers-Titans, know that it does have some implications for the Patriots. If the Chargers lose, the Patriots will still have an outside chance at earning the No. 2 seed, and a first-round bye, for the playoffs. If the Chargers win, they will clinch the No. 2 seed while virtually eliminating the Titans from the AFC playoff picture.

The game is on NFL Network at 7:30. Have a great day, everyone.
