Steelers sign Galloway

The Steelers announced the signing of veteran receiver Joey Galloway this morning. The ex-Patriot, Buccaneer, Cowboy and Seahawk will take the place of Limas Sweed, who is on the reserve/non-football illness list, on the club's 53-man roster.
The Patriots signed Galloway in March, handing him a one-year, $1.75 million deal that included a $600,000 signing bonus.
They released the 37-year-old after he failed to find a rhythm in the New England offense. He registered just seven catches and 67 yards in three games. Pittsburgh, of course, is fighting for its playoff life at 7-7, with Baltimore and Miami remaining on the schedule.
