Final: Patriots 17, Bills 10

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- FINAL, Patriots 17, Bills 10: The Patriots win their second road game of the the season and their first on US soil. Randy Moss had 5 catches for 70 yards and a touchdown, the most yards for Moss since the Indianapolis game Nov. 15.

4th, 2:00, Patriots 17, Bills 10: Patriots pick up a first down. Looks like that should be it unless there's some sort of turnover.

4th, 2:50, Patriots 17, Bills 10: Buffalo decides to kick off and look to its defense to make stop. Patriots have ball on their own 28, second and 10.

4th, 3:00, Patriots 17, Bills 10: Another penalty spoils another opportunity for Buffalo. The Bills recovered the onside kick, but had to re-kick after being called offsides.

4th, 3:02, Patriots 17, Bills 10: The Bills are making this interesting. Fitzpatrick finds Lee Evans for an 11-yard touchdown.  

4th, 5:21, Patriots 17, Bills 3: The Patriots catch a break when Josh Reed drops a pass at the 5-yard line on fourth and 9 from the Patriots 11 that would have been an easy walk into the end zone.  

4th, 7:16, Patriots 17, Bills 3: The Bills go for it on fourth and 1 from the Patriots 45 and pick up the first down.

4th, 10:01, Patriots 17, Bills 3: Fitzpatrick is back in the game after it looked like Edwards was hurt on the sack in the last possession. The Bills announced he has injured his ankle iand is out for the game.

4th, 11:31, Patriots 17, Bills 3: Edwards doesn't make much of a difference for the Bills. Buffalo punts and Patriots will start at their 29-yard line.

4th, 13:07, Patriots 17, Bills 3: Ryan Fitzpatrick is out and Trent Edwards is in for the Bills at quarterback.

4th, 13:20, Patriots 17, Bills 3: The first drive of the fourth quarter for the Patriots ended with little excitement. The Patriots began the drive on their 9-yard line but gain only 6 yards. The Patriots punt.

3d, 4:43, Patriots 17, Bills 3: Stephen Gostkowski kicked a 30-yard field goal on a drive that burned 7:04 off the clock. Patriots are stumped in red zone unable to get a touchdown from the Bills' 13. Drive: 14 plays, 64 yards.

Halftime, Patriots 14, Bills 3: Laurence Maroney's touchdown is his careere-high ninth this season. Moss's touchdown reception was his 10th of the season, which ties him with Jerry Rice with nine seasons of getting at least 10 TD receptions. 

2d quarter, 0:24, Patriots 14, Bills 3: It took three tries, but the Patriots finally get into the end zone as Laurence Maroney picks up the 1-yard TD. Drive: 8 plays, 64 yards, 3:06. The drive was aided by another Bills' pass interference call as Reggie Corner was flagged for knocking Wes Welker down in the end zone. The play moved the Patriots to the Bills 1-yard line.

2d quarter, 3:30, Patriots 7, Bills 3: Jonathan Wilhite intercepts a bad pass from Ryan Fitzpatrick to end Bills' drive. Patriots take over on their 36. It's Wilhite's second of the season.

2d quarter, 7:40, Patriots 7, Bills 3: Patriots punt after their drive stalls at the Bills 35. Brady did find Moss twice on the drive for 16 and 9 yards. 

2d quarter, 12:34, Patriots 7, Bills 3: Randy Moss caught a 13-yard pass from Brady over his shoulder in the end zone to give the Patriots the lead. The play capped a 5-play, 75-yard drive. On the drive, Donte Whitner was called for pass interference on a ball targeted for Moss in the end zone that moved the Patriots to the Bills 3. Penalties pushed the Patriots back before the TD pass.

1st quarter, 0:46, Patriots 0, Bills 3: The Patriots defense kept the Bills from capitalizing on the turnover, forcing them to punt. Mike Wright and Derrick Burgess each had sacks on the drive. The Patriots take over on their 25-yard line.

1st quarter, 2:40, Patriots 0, Bills 3: Tom Brady throws 12th interception of the season. On second and 10 from the 50, Paul Posluszny intercepted Brady's pass that was intended for Welker. It was Brady's fourth straight game with an interception. Bills take over on their 39.

1st quarter, 5:36, Patriots 0, Bills 3: Rian Lindell kicks 25-yard field goal to cap a 13-play, 69-yard drive that burned an impressive 9:24. Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick tossed incomplete pass on third down that forced Bills to settle for 3 points.

1st quarter, 5:44, Patriots 0, Bills 0: The Bills are pushing down the field behind its running game, taking advantage of a depleted Patriots defensive line that is without Vince Wilfork and Ty Warren. The Bills were doing well until third and goal from the Patriots 2. The Bills had a false start and then were forced to call a timeout.  

1st quarter, 14:48, Patriots 0, Bills 0: Ron Brace starts at nose tackle for the Patriots, with Vince Wilfork inactive with a foot injury. Adalius Thomas also starts.

Captains: Jerod Mayo and Sam Aiken only captains to represent the Patriots for the coin flip. No Randy Moss or Tom Brady, the team's offensive captains. Bills to receive to start game.

Pregame (1:00 p.m.): Patriots take the field and huddle up with a little enthusiasm before the game.

Weather conditions (12:52 p.m.): The current temperature is 28 degrees. Winds are out of the northwest at 5 mph. Conditions are partly cloudy.

Inactives (12:45 p.m.): For the Patriots today: Fred Taylor, Terrence Wheatley, Stephen Neal, Vince Wilfork, Nick Kaczur, Myron Pryor and Ty Warren. Isaiah Stanback is the third quarterback. For the Bills: Steve Johnson, Ashton Youboty, Cary Harris, James Hardy, Jamon Meredith, Joe Klopfenstein and Chris Ellis. Brian Brohm is the third quarterback.
