FOXBOROUGH -- (FINAL, Patriots 20, Panthers 10): It wasn't pretty, but the Patriots pull out the win on a rain-soaked afternoon at Gillette Stadium. The Patriots end a two-game losing skid and maintain a one-game lead in the AFC East. The Dolphins beat Jacksonville, 14-10, and the Jets routed Tampa Bay, 26-3, to keep pace with the Patriots.

(4th, 3:56, Patriots 20, Panthers 10): The Patriots' offense continues to struggle as Stephen Gostkowski steps in for the 47-yard field goal. Drive: 7 plays, 13 yards, 1:57.

(4th, 4:15, Patriots 17, Panthers 10): Moss adds another stat to his day, picking up a false start penalty. The Patriots were forced to punt on the drive, but the Panthers were called for roughing the kicker, giving the Patriots the ball on the Carolina 30.

(4th, 5:53, Patriots 17, Panthers 10): Patriots announce right tackle Nick Kaczur has a shoulder injury and his return is questionable.

(4th, 7:20, Patriots 17, Panthers 10): Stephen Gostkowski kicks a 48-yard field goal. On the drive, Moss had another dropped ball. He's had two dropped passes, a fumble, and the target  on Tom Brady's interception. ... Gostkowski has 103 points this season, putting him over that total for his fourth straight season.

(4th, 9:12 Patriots 14, Panthers 10): Wes Welker has more than 100 yards in this game, reaching the mark for the fifth time this season and 13th time of his career.

(3d, 1:06, Patriots 14, Panthers 7): Brady fires 5-yard pass to Benjamin Watson in the end zone to give the Patriots the lead. Drive: 13 plays, 96 yards, 7:20. The drive included Welker getting smacked hard by Charles Godfrey but he popped right back up. He had five catches for 64 yards on the drive.

(3d, 6:21, Patriots 7, Panthers 7): Wes Welker caught his fifth pass of the day, which is his 100th this season. This is his third consecutive season with at least 100 catches, which is the second-longest streak in the NFL. Marvin Harrison had four consecutive seasons with 100-plus catches.

(3d, 8:26, Patriots 7, Panthers 7): After looking at a replay on the scoreboard, Patriots coach Bill Belichick challenges if a Carolina punt should be a touchback. A Panthers player appeared to step on the goal line as he saved the ball from going into the end zone. The call wasn't overturned and the Patriots start from their own 4 yard line and lose a timeout on the challenge.

(3d, 8:26, Patriots 7, Panthers 7): The Patriots announced Wilfork has a foot injury and his return is questionable.

(3d, 11:10, Patriots 7, Panthers 7): Vince Wilfork is slow to get up and leaves the field and heads straight to the locker room. Could be done for the day.

(2d quarter,1:58, Patriots 0, Panthers 7): Patriots catch a break as Carolina linebacker James Anderson is called for pass interference after breaking up a pass to Benjamin Watson. The call moved the ball 30 yards to the Carolina 21 for the Patriots. We're at the two-minute warning. Patriots are facing first and goal from the Carolina 10.

(2d quarter, 3:29, Patriots 0, Panthers 7): Panthers kicker John Kasay was short on a 53-yard field goal try.

(2d quarter,11:26, Patriots 0, Panthers 7): Patriots are facing third and 13 from the Carolina 44 and Brady tosses short pass to Kevin Faulk for 3 yards. Fans boo and Patriots punt.

(1st quarter, 0:41, Patriots 0, Panthers 7): Wes Welker catches a pass from Brady but it is jarred loose after taking a hit. Kevin Faulk recovered the fumble. The Panthers are challenging if the pass was complete. After review it is ruled Welker did not catch the pass and it is incomplete. Patriots are facing second and 9 from the 50.

(1st quarter, 2:43, Patriots 0, Panthers 7): Panthers capitalize on Gamble's interception. After a 7-yard run, quarterback Matt Moore launched a 41-yard pass to Steve Smith for the touchdown. Drive: 2 plays, 48 yards, 42 seconds.

(1st quarter, 3:25, Patriots 0, Panthers 0): Brady throws his 11th interception of the season as Panthers cornerback Chris Gamble grabbed the pass intended for Randy Moss. The Panters take over on the Patriots 48. Brady has now thrown a pick in three consecutive games and each time he was trying to get to Moss.

(1st quarter, 5:02, Patriots 0, Panthers 0): Panthers get their first first down of the game on their third drive, with DeAngelo Williams running 13 yards. But the Panthers didn't get much else out of the drive, punting three plays later. Patriots take over on their own 22.

Pregame: Greetings from Gillette Stadium. We're about 10 minutes from kickoff here. News of the day so far is that linebacker Adalius Thomas is inactive, a few days after expressing his displeasure over being sent home earlier in the week when he arrived late for a team meeting. Other inactives for the Patriots include Fred Taylor, Terrence Wheatley, Rich Ohrnberger, Stephen Neal, Sam Aiken, Myron Pryor, and Ron Brace.

Quarterback Tom Brady also appears ready to go being listed as questionable due to right shoulder/finger/rib injuries.
