When he was a Patriot, my guess is that Tedy Bruschi didn't like the New York Jets so much, although I'm not sure he ever said as much. And maybe he still can't stand them.
But give Bruschi credit ... That stuff ain't clouding his judgment.
Tonight on Sportscenter, Bruschi picked the New York Jets to win Super Bowl XLIV in two-and-a-half weeks. The former Pro Bowl and local icon said he likes the Jets approach -- "ground and pound", he called it -- in January, and even went so far as to compare this New York team to the Patriots of 2001.
In what way? Well, Bruschi likened the way few gave the Patriots a shot against the Steelers or Rams to what the Jets are up against right now.
As it turns out, this isn't the first time Bruschi has spoken highly of that Jets team. And he was right before, so now ... Who knows? Maybe Rex Ryan's trip down the Canyon of Heroes will actually happen.
