Patriots guard Stephen Neal concluded the final year of his contract, but he may have a bigger decision to make than where he will play. In his mind, the question is if he’ll play.

“I’m not sure,” Neal said when asked if he’d come back next season. “I’m not sure how my body is going to feel. I’m not sure if I’ll keep playing, keep getting in them car accidents each week. We’ll have to find out, talk to the family, see what options are available.”

Neal’s situation gave yesterday a feeling of finality. The Patriots offensive line has been together for several seasons, but Logan Mankins is a restricted free agent, too, and the team could decide to part ways with Matt Light.

“There are a lot of guys getting up there and this could be our last game,” Neal said. “You never know. I don’t know what to do. All I know is that I just wish it wouldn’t have ended like this today.”
