stallworth.jpgFormer Patriots wide receiver Donte Stallworth, reinstated yesterday by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, will visit and workout with an NFL team tomorrow, his agent Drew Rosenhaus said.

Rosenhaus was adamant that he did not want to speak about interest in Stallworth from specific teams, so it is not known if that team is the Patriots or any other club. Stallworth has been running routes, catching passes, and working out while serving a one-year suspension levied by Goodell and the NFL.

“He is the best shape he’s been in since I’ve been representing him,” Rosenhaus said in a telephone conversation. “His reinstatement was a very smooth process. He’s developed a very good rapport with Roger Goodell. We are very pleased with the amount of teams interested. Everything in the past is behind him, and he is excited to move forward.”

Rosenhaus said he expects Stallworth, 28, to sign with a team “in the next couple weeks at the latest” and that Stallworth is willing to play for all 32 NFL teams.

Last June, Stallworth pleaded guilty to DUI manslaughter after he struck and killed a pedestrian named Mario Reyes, 59, Miami Beach, Fla., in March. He served a 30-day sentence and was suspended for one season by Goodell.

Last week, Goodell announced Stallworth would be reinstated. The Cleveland Brows terminated his contract yesterday.

Stallworth played for the Patriots in 2007 and caught 46 passes for 697 yards and three touchdowns. In 2008 with the Browns, Stallworth caught 17 passes for 170 yards one touchdown in 11 games.
