Not sure who it was that asked him, but CSN's SportsNet Central got the video last night of Tom Brady answering a question about the comparisons he gets with Peyton Manning out at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am.

TB12 was polite enough, but didn't exactly start breaking down the last nine years.

"It’s so hard to compare that, whether it’s guys of this era or of the past era," Brady said. "To be a great quarterback, you need a great team. You need a great group of skill players, a great coach, there’s a lot of things (that need) to come together for a quarterback. And I’ve blessed for 10 years to be on a team that puts all those things together. And so has Peyton."

So how Brady's golf game showing out there? Um ... Not sure. He's paired with Steve Marino, who is three shots back at 7-under through two rounds, and he had a tough Day 1, but I can't find anything on his Friday results quite yet. We can also tell you the other NFL quarterback there, Tony Romo, is playing well.

Golf Update (11:18): OK, here we go. Brady and Steve Marino had a nice showing yesterday, bouncing back from 92d all the way up to a tie for 56th place at -11 total. Brady and Marino are tied with, among others, Pat Perez and Kelly Slater, the best surfer of all time and probably one of the only people on planet Earth who Brady might look at and think, "Man, it'd be cool to be that guy."
