The Patriots announced this afternoon on their Twitter account that they've come to terms on a new contract with their Swiss Army Knife of a scatback.

While anyone who followed the Adam Vinatieri situation a few years back had to wonder if something was happening quietly with another team, I don't think Faulk's interest really was in playing anywhere but here and -- without even seeing the numbers -- you can surmise it's a good deal for both sides, since the value of Faulk to the Patriots and the Patriots to Faulk is pretty strong.

Outside of the Krafts and offensive line coach Dante Scarnecchia, it's hard to think of too many people in that building that pre-date Faulk, who came into the league under Pete Carroll, in Foxborough. So good for him, and good for the Patriots.
