Earlier today, we examined the possibility of tight end Greg Olsen might be shipped out of Chicago, and the idea that the address label could read "Foxboro, MA".

Chicago Sun-Times Bears writer Sean Jensen is now reporting that the club is not shopping Olsen. That said, Jensen leaves the door open for a trade in the event of an "overwhelming offer", while adding that new offensive coordinator Mike Martz is still evaluating his personnel.

The bottom line here is that the Bears are under no pressure to move now on the player, with the only real deadline coming in April, when the draft pushes teams to move vets like Olsen so they can reap current-year picks.

Olsen's incentive-heavy contract (a reason he might want to be dealt, since Martz's offense hasn't traditionally feature the tight end in a pass-catching role) calls for a $140,000 reporting bonus in 2010, and a $550,000 base salary. His deal runs through '11.

The main thing for Chicago to work out is that Olsen's lacking as a blocker and that is a big deal for Martz, who's always used tight ends in pass pro to set up his downfield passing game. Of course, his problems blocking might be a serious demerit in New England, too.

We'll see what happens. But for not, it looks as if this one's off the table.
