Over the last couple days, Scout.com's Chris Steuber has reported that Michigan DE/LB Brandon Graham and Florida C Maurkice Pouncey have visited Foxborough, and Middle Tennessee State DE/LB Chris McCoy will this week.
I've confirmed the McCoy visit, and can tell you, at the very least, that New England has met with Pouncey and Graham, although it wasn't clear if those get-togethers were in Foxborough or Gainesville (in Pouncey's case) or Ann Arbor (in Graham's case). Presuming Graham and Pouncey did come to Gillette Stadium, all three would count among the 30 in-house visits the team is permitted.
Graham pulled a hamstring at the combine, while Pouncey had some injury history at Florida (torn labrum in 2008; ankle, kidney issues as well), so it's possible they're coming in for some sort of medical verification. Teams aren't allowed to work out-of-town prospects out at their facility, but can conduct physicals and interviews.
Graham and Pouncey are both sure-fire first-round prospects, and could well be gone by the time the Patriots' slotted pick comes up at 22. These guys could well be in play as high as the 11th pick, where Denver selects.
McCoy, the Sun Belt co-Defensive Player of the Year, has risen of late and could be a mid-round consideration.
